PixeLINK Capture OEM has been extensively updated to improve ease of use.

The simple mode GUI screen includes most controls that are required to operate and demonstrate PixeLINK cameras.  From the simple mode, the camera settings for exposure, gain, white balance, color temperature, saturation and gamma can be controlled.  The ROI size can be selected and a pop-up dialog will allow more sophisticated selection of ROI size, pixel addressing modes and values.  Image capture can be controlled with options to capture the full ROI at the maximum resolution and display the captured image while auto numbering the image name.

Specifically, controls have been added for:

  • white balance (color temperature);

  • white shading (RGB gains used to create an effective white balance);

  • new pixel addressing modes (binning, averaging, decimation, resampling);

  • flip, mirror and rotate modes;

The histogram window has been updated to display color and/or intensity information.

Frame rate controls have been added to limit the bandwidth on laptops and bus constrained computers.  Under the Camera menu item is a selection “Laptop Friendly Mode” which provides a list of ratios.  Selecting one of these will limits the cameras bandwidth accordingly.

The advanced mode includes the simple mode GUI and uses tabs to provide additional and expanded features.

The DCAM tab has been removed.  Its features were moved to the simple GUI and to the LUT and FFC tab.

The image enhancement tab has been changed to the LUT and FFC tab.

The Time lapse feature has been enabled and multiple frames can be averaged prior to capture.

A number of smaller bug fixes and features were also included.
