Fully IEEE 1394 IIDC 1.31 (IIDC) compliant, PixeLINK cameras can be used with third party drivers compatible with the IIDC specification, such as the National Instruments IEEE 1394 for IMAQ driver.
However, to fully enable the camera features on Microsoft Windows systems, it is recommended to use PixeLINK supplied drivers and the PixeLINK Application Programming Interface (API) or PixeLINK Capture OEM to control IIDC-compliant PixeLINK cameras.
